- Steps to renew a U.S. passport by mail
- Complete Form DS-82 (which is the mail application for a U.S. passport).
- Print and sign the passport renewal form.
- Take a new passport photo.
- Calculate the passport renewal fee.
- In an envelope, place the DS-82 form after it has been signed, add the most recent passport photo, the previous passport, and add the fees.
- Attach the legal document for the name change, if possible.
- Send the envelope by mail to the appropriate address, which is located on the order form.
- Make sure all of the following is true
- Your current passport is not severely damaged, and you can attach it to the application.
- Your passport was issued when you were 16 years of age or older.
- Your passport has been issued within the last fifteen years.
- Your passport is issued in your current name, or you provide legal proof related to your name change.

- Photo should not be edited
- Calculation of passport renewal fees
- The current renewal fee is $110 for standard service.
- Urgent Service Fees
- $60, and you can also order the delivery of the new passport at night for an additional $16.48.
